Ten years ago, one event became a springboard for us into the world of club installations. At the closing of ARMA Club, we installed a huge head, which is the main element of stage design. This year, we repeated our idea and celebrated the club's 16th anniversary with the revival of the legendary stage.

The idea of creating the head in 2014 came from the movie 'Metropolis'. There was an androgyne — a woman and a man, a human, and a robot simultaneously. We chose this image because a club is, first and foremost, about the faces and people that surround you and make your rave brighter. The original installation didn't survive, but we recreated the five-meter head from old drawings and added new technologies.

We used neural networks to project party guests' faces onto this head. Behind it was a transparent LED mesh with lighting fixtures hidden underneath. They worked as a powerful piercing grid across the entire auditorium area. When the matryoshka head split into two halves and moved left and right on the rails, the lasers inside stretched like gum. Our partners SETUP were responsible for them and the whole lighting setup.

The installation Faces reflects on the theme of human masks that we constantly try on ourselves. How many personalities does each person hide? Who lives in you? Only by opening yourself completely can you answer this question. Some of the content that we were VJ-ing was almost ten years old. Not many world studios can boast the same. This project is a true legacy of SILA SVETA studio.
