In 2024, the New Star Camp festival celebrated its 15th anniversary. This year’s main theme was kaleidoscopes, symbolizing the diversity of the event and its community of extreme sports and music enthusiasts. For the second time, we were responsible for the concept and stage design of the festival’s main stage.

We love working with a circle-shaped screen because it easily captures a variety of vibrant images. At New Star Camp 2024, we made a screen that acted as both an eye and a funnel, drawing the audience's attention to itself. Composed of two layers of transparent LED mesh (10x6 meters), the stage creates an illusion of a floating image. We achieved a volumetric effect using a 40-watt laser and several projectors hidden behind the screens. The light funnel setup created a hypnotic attraction effect, drawing the audience into a mesmerizing realm of kaleidoscopic fantasies and light play.

In honor of New Star Camp's anniversary, we focused on acknowledging the individuals who contribute to the festival's unique charm: its creators and participants. We filmed the eyes of the festival team and the jumps of athletes on mountain slopes and then processed the video content using neural networks. Additionally, we developed numerous unique generative real-time patches and combined screen content with lighting to create an atmosphere that would emphasize the originality and spirit of the festival.

As a result, the main stage in our interpretation became an integral part of the visual identity of the New Star Camp festival, giving it a unique atmosphere and visual depth. We hope that the main stage has become the center as well as the soul of the festival.
