SILA SVETA and artist Sasha Frolova came together to create a one-of-a-kind main stage for New Star Weekend, bringing the festival’s theme of “Air” to life in a multimedia space that seamlessly combined physical and digital art.

Inspired by the theme, we revisited our experiments with smoke projections, where images literally emerge from thin air, creating a holographic effect. The stage setup incorporated a wide range of multimedia elements, including inflatable structures, smoke machines, projections, and LED screens. Each component added dynamic layers to the experience, blending physical space with digital graphics that transformed depending on the angle and moment.
Special attention was given to the visual content. We trained a neural network using Sasha Frolova’s work as a foundation, generating visuals that reflected her distinctive artistic style. The result was a vibrant and joyful display on the screens — mushrooms, clouds, text, and other whimsical elements — that infused the stage with a sense of magic, immersing spectators in a fantastical reality.

The main stage, active on September 20 and 21 in the mountains of Rosa Khutor, became the festival’s centerpiece, offering visitors a truly unique experience. From the transparent inflatable "sound wave" to the smoke and projection effects, the stage left a lasting impression and captivated audiences with its enchanting atmosphere.
